My family is in crisis, and I am looking for your help.
My name is Shelley. I live in Maine with my five children
and my husband, Don. When we married six years ago, he came into the relationship with two wonderful kids, a boy and a girl.
I also had a child from a previous marriage. Since we have been married, we have had two children together. My husband and
I love each other very much, but our live revolve around our children.
During our marriage, my husband and I were able
to obtain custody of his two children. It was a very bitter event that lasted three years and cost us around $60,000, but
it was worth it. The kid’s mother is a horrible woman who sole desire for having those kids was to make her welfare check
that much fatter. Tragically, it was disclosed during the custody dispute that the kids had been sexually abused by their
older sister (who is not my husband’s child). We immediately put the kids in counseling, as well as ourselves, because we
were devastated. When the final order was put into place, their mother received a two hour visit on Tuesdays and a six hour
visit every other Sunday, with no overnights. They were also prohibited from having contact with their sister until their
mother got her some help. Three years later, she still has not done that.
We moved into a house shortly after which
was rent with option to buy. We were to be ready to buy the house by June of this year. Unfortunately, tragedy has struck
our wonderful family again.
At the beginning of May, my husband’s daughter accused him of sexually abusing her. This
is, of course, a false allegation, and she has since told us she had lied. When asked why, she stated that she had gotten
angry with us about something, and did exactly what her mother had been telling her to do all this time. Of course, when
a child discloses something like that, Child and Family Services become involved.
And then they destroy the family.
It
didn’t matter that she had told them she lied. They forced my husband out of our home, prohibiting him from having any contact
with my children. He lost his job, and is now living at a campsite. My children desperately miss their father and want him
home. My youngest son is only eighteen months old. He walks around the house saying, “Dada? Dada?”, as though maybe he’s
just playing a game of hide and go seek. I can’t possibly describe with words the devastation my family feels.
There
doesn’t seem to be any end in sight. I have no idea when my husband will be home. I have no idea when my family will be
back together. Because I only work part time, I can no longer pay most of my bills. My monthly income isn’t even enough
to pay my rent. With this website, I am hoping to receive donations to help my family survive this difficult time. Please,
help my family. You can make a donation by visiting PayPal.com, and clicking on Send Money. Enter our e-mail address, dgp_3_60@hotmail.com,
